Level I Progam

Each Class is made up of women who are all on their own speaking journeys. Her Podium® will meet you where ever you are. If you are just beginning, we encourage you to read your presentation just to feel comfortable sharing to a group. As you feel more comfortable, begin to present with an outline, not relying so much on every written word. This speaking journey is a process and Her Podium® Classes are the perfect place to try something new. We are here to support and inspire you every step of the way.

We meet virtually for 8 weeks. Each Class is 2 hours.

We will explore the foundation of all public speaking fear and dive right into understanding what is holding you back from using your voice. This exercise can be a game changer. Once you start to understand your fear and where it may have come from, it is often easier to put that fear in it’s proper perspective.

Presentations

You will present 4 prepared presentations with a length of between 5 to 10 minutes each. All class members will be working on the same presentation at the same time. There are prompts in the workbook to get your creative writing juices flowing. At the end of each presentation, you will be given feedback from each member of the class. All feedback must be kind and constructive.

Impromptu speaking opportunities are at the top of the fear list for most women coming through a Her Podium® Program. Most women have the fear of, what will I do if the Boss calls on me or, what if I am asked to speak last minute . At each class meeting there will be multiple opportunities for Impromptu presentations. We make these impromptus FUN in the form of games, exercises & prompts.

As you go through the program we will discuss Tips, Tricks & Skills to use when preparing to present and what to do during your presentation to get the right mindset to engage the audience. One of the goals of the presentation is to leave the audience wanting to hear more.

The comprehensive curriculum will assist you in finding your unique voice, building your confidence and preparing you to feel comfortable presenting in front of a group.
